Asante Kotoko will face Kenyan giants Kariobangi Sharks in the second round of the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers.

The Sharks beat Djibouti's Arta Solar 3-0 in the second leg on Wednesday to make the aggregate score 9-1 to set up a meeting with the Ghanaian giants.

The Porcupine Warriors were handed a walkover victory in the preliminary round of the Caf Confederation Cup after Cameroonian FA failed to meet the deadline to present their representatives for the competition.

The Reds were declared winners of the preliminary round by the continent football's governing body without kicking a ball.

The first leg of the 1/16th round between Kariobangi Sharks and Asante Kotoko has been scheduled between December 14 and 16 in Cameroon, while the return leg in Ghana is set between December 21 and 23.

The winner of the tie will progress to the final round of qualifiers against teams that fell out of the CAF Champions League qualifiers.
