As the world tries to make sense of Monday's horrifying plane crash in Colombia which claimed the lives of 71 people, footballer's around the world are paying tribute to members of the Chapecoense team who were caught up in the tragedy.
Chelsea's David Luiz is one of the latest high profile professionals to offer his sympathies and has posted a touching tribute on Instagram to the late Arthur Maia.
The two players were former teammates at youth level and whilst their paths went separate ways, the Chelseadefender posted this wonderful message in memory of Maia.
With the picture of his former teammate, Luiz wrote:"Know that one day I had the pleasure to meet you and have you as a little brother.
"Then we lost contact for each one to follow his way and today wake up and know that you are no longer among us.
"With this news that breaks hearts around the world. I can not believe it! May God comfort your family, friends and all the families involved!
