Coaching Black Stars is like coaching second or third division - Richard Kingson

Richard Kingson, former Ghana goalkeeper trainer, has likened coaching the national team, the Black Stars, to managing a second or third division side.

Following his dismissal alongside head coach Chris Hughton's backroom staff, Kingson expressed his aspiration to lead prestigious clubs like Barcelona, stating that coaching the Black Stars felt akin to merely writing about oneself with a pen and paper.

Despite Ghana's disappointing performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Kingson remains confident in his coaching abilities, emphasizing his readiness to take on new challenges.

"We all know it after my 2/3 years of service we all saw it. Coaching Black Stars is like coaching a second or third division," he told TV3.

"I want to coach Barcelona because I know I have what it takes to do it so coaching Black Stars is not like something extraordinary.

"It is like taking a pen and paper and writing yourself...myself so it is just something common for me to do it,"
