Ex-Ghana U20 Captain Clifford Aboagye backs team to defeat Senegal in AYC qualifier

Former Black Satellites midfielder Clifford Aboagye has backed the current team to defeat Senegal in the Africa Youth Championship first leg qualifier in Dakar on Saturday.

Coach Didi Dramani and his team are seeking for another African Youth Championship berth after playing at the last four editions.

Clifford who played in two of the last four editions and won the Most Valuable player in the 2013 edition of the tournament hosted in Algeria has urged the team to defeat their Senegalese counterparts.

“I know how it is playing in the qualifiers and for me the only thing I can tell them is to keep their focus and go all out,” he told footballghana.com

“The last edition of the tournament was played in Senegal and I know it is a place they can win.

“They have amazing fans but I trust the boys to do it.”

The team will depart for Senegal on Thursday for the game which will be played on Sunday.
