EXCLUSIVE: Swansea City ace Andre Ayew's proposed move to Europe hits snag

Published on: 26 August 2019

Footballghana.com can exclusively report that Swansea City ace Andre Dede Ayew's proposed move to Europe has hit a snag amidst strong interest from Werder Bremen and Sampdoria.

The Ghanaian international continues to be linked with a transfer away from the Championship side despite settling into the squad and playing key roles for the side in the ongoing 2019/2020 season.

According to credible sources, the Black Stars Captain is on the books of German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen, Italian Serie A side Sampdoria, as well as a host of other European top-flight clubs.

The proposed move is however currently hanging in the balance with the parties interested in the player and officials of the Swans unable to reach an agreement.

Checks have revealed that Andre Dede Ayew’s huge wage bill of £80,000-a-week is a key contributing factor that has made the proposed move hit a snag.

Meanwhile, Sampdoria is hoping to land the attacker on-loan for a year and has beseeched Swansea to accept to cater for part of his wage bill.
