GHALCA signs 4-year deal worth GH 100,000 annually for G6 tourney with StarTimes

The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has officially signed a 4-year deal with StarTimes TV.

The deal is worth GH 100,000 annually for a period of four years to sponsor GHALCA's G6 tournament.

In a deal that was signed at the launch today, GHALCA announced ANFD International as title sponsors of the G6 tournament.

The G6 tournament which is organised annually for the top six clubs in the Premier League will witness Hearts of Oak, Wa All Stars, Aduana Stars, Medeama SC, Asante Kotoko and Bechem United competing in this year's competition.

Addressing the media at the launch, the chairman of GHALCA, Kudjoe Fianoo, noted that the competition is set to commence on Saturday with the backing of ANFD International and StarTimes.

He explained that the coming on board of StarTimes will help telecast the competition across Africa aside the huge financial boost and decoders.

He however noted that there would be financial support for all participating teams with more boost as the competition progresses.

The Director of StarTimes, Ernest Arday, said they decided to support the competition to give it more coverage across Africa.

The Chief Executive Officer of ANFD International, Mamood Seidu, noted that his outfit decided to come on board as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.

He however explained that they were concern with the passion of the nation and football stands tall thus their decision to sponsor the G6.
