Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan confident new Astro turf will help unearth talent

Ghana Captain Asamoah Gyan says he is hopeful the new Astro turf unveiled on Tuesday at his Alma Mata will help unearth talents in the country.

The 31 year old who has supported many projected over the years unveiled his newest accomplishment; the ultra-modern astro turf pitch named the Asamoah Gyan Sports Complex which he believes will go a long way to discover talents like him.

The Kayserispor striker invested $200, 000 in the building of the edifice and said at the unveiling that his foundation is bent on improving lives in the country.

“Over the past five years my foundation, which is the Asamoah Gyan foundation, has touched the lives of many Ghanaians in many ways as well as undertaking the land project,” the ex-Al Ain attacker said.

“We have also produced a world championship champion by name Emmanuel Game boy Tagoe through the Baby Jet Promotions. I may not be the best talent ever but this pitch will produce great talents from my hard work and sacrifice for the nation for the future.”

Asamoah Gyan is Ghana’s leading scorer after scoring 51 goals for the country in 105 appearances.

His contributions to society was recognized by Ukrainian University Alfred Nobel who conferred on him a doctorate degree.
