Ghana duo Yiadom and Rahman feature as Reading suffer first home defeat to Sunderland

Ghanaian pair Andy Yiadom and Abdul Baba Rahman were in action for Reading in their 3-0 home defeat to Sunderland in the English Championship on Wednesday.

Yiadom lasted the entire duration of the game while Rahman climbed off the bench in the second half as the Royals lost their 100 per cent home league record.

Both sides struggled to find any rhythm in the first half, but a quickfire double from Patrick Roberts on the stroke of half-time put the visitors ahead.

It was more of the same for the Royals in the second half as the Black Cats added a third, this time through Jack Clarke.

Paul Ince’s men will need to regroup quickly as they make the trip up to Wigan this weekend.

Yiadom has featured in all nine league games for Reading this season while Rahman, who joined the loan from Chelsea has made two league appearances.
