The Porcupine Warriors had a slow start to the 2023/24 season, losing one and drawing two in their opening three games.

Kotoko made amends on Monday after beating Accra Lions in the matchday 4 of the domestic top-flight campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors left it late to secure maximum points against Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

Lions exhibited top performance but a last-gasp goal by Kotoko broke their hearts.

Kalo Ouattra headed home the match-winner in the 98 minutes after meeting a pinpoint cross from Sherrif Mohammed. It was Kotoko’s first win of the season after four games.

"A big away victory for us. Great team effort, plus 3 points and a clean sheet," he wrote on social media.

Asante Kotoko returns to Kumasi to prepare for Aduana Stars in their fifth game of the season and will hope to maintain their winning run.
