Ghanaian defender Montari Kamaheni made his first start for FC Ashdod after a long injury lay-off in Israel.
The left-back was out of action for more than six months after undergoing surgery to fix his knee.
After almost a year, the former Dreams FC player made his first start to help FC Ashdod defeat Maccabi Netanya in the Israeli top-flight.
Kamaheni made a cameo appearance in Ashdod 1-1 draw against Hapoel Haifa after missing the first round of the campaign.
The 23-year-old made his second cameo in their disappointing defeat to Beiter Jerusalem last month.
On Saturday, he was finally handed a start as in Ashdod cruised to a 3-2 win over Netanya.
The Ghanaian defender impressed on the day and lasted the entire duration of the game.
