Ghanaian duo among top 10 fastest players in the German Bundesliga

Ghanaian duo of Jeremie Frimpong and Alphonso Davies have been named among the top ten fastest footballers in the 2021/22 German Bundesliga campaign.

Davies, who plies his trade for giants Bayern Munich placed third on the list with a speed of 36.37 km/h.

The enterprising left-back was born in Ghana before his family move to Canada. He plays for the Canada national team.

The defender made 22 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern as they won the title at the end of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Dutch-born Ghanaian Jeremie Frimpong came seventh with a speed of 36.07 km/h.

The former Celtic right-back made 25 appearances and scored a goal as Bayer Leverkusen finished in a UEFA Champions League spot.

Frimpong's international future is yet to be decided despite representing the Netherlands at youth levels.
