Dutch-born Ghanaian Deabeas Owusu-Sekyere was on target for Zhejiang Professional when they defeated Meizhou Hakka in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.

It was his first goal since joining the club during the January transfer window after ending his spell with Cangzhou Mighty Lions

Owusu delivered an outstanding performance to help his side secure a 2-1 away win in the week 3 encounter.

The first half of the game ended in a pulsating goalless draw at the Wuhua Olympic Sports Center Huitang Stadium, as both teams struggled to find the back of the net.

The 24-year-old Ghanaian attacker shot his side into the lead, three minutes into the second half but the visitors responded quickly after grabbing the equalizer in the 50th minute mark through Rooney Eva Wankewai.

Hong Kong international Nok-Hang Leung fired home Zhejiang Professional’s winning goal in the 74th minute mark.

Owusu was replaced in the 90th minute mark by Di Gao.

The Ghanaian forward has now scored one goal in three appearances for Zhejiang Professional.

His contract with the club is expected to expire in December 2025.
