The head coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton has indicated that he is aware Ghana will not have it easy in the game against Angola on Thursday, March 23.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Wednesday, the Irish-Ghanaian tactician said he is expecting a tough opposition in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification match.

“I have studied them [Angola] in their last five, six, seven games. Technically they are a very good team. They have a lot of good technical players so I have no doubt it’s a strong and tough opposition,” Coach Chris Hughton said.

The new Ghana head coach added, “So we have to plan for that as we will be for any opposition. They can cause us a lot of problems and so we have to play well.”

The Black Stars will welcome their counterpart from Angola to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, March 23, for the Group E contest in the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 16:00gmt.
