Albert Commey, former Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Hearts of Oak, has stated that he disclosed the truth surrounding the departure of coach Karim Zito.

Commey revealed that contrary to the club's official statement, Zito was not sacked but had tendered his resignation.

"One day coach Zito wrote a letter then later the club wrote that he has been sacked," Commey stated on the Ernest Brew Smith Show on YouTube. "Then I went out to say that the club didn't sack him, the coach resigned."

Commey's stance led to a meeting with the club's management, where he emphasized his commitment to the truth. "I am defending the club," he asserted. "But in our time there is no propaganda, the truth is that he handed the letter to one director so if he gave it to a director then he has given it to someone in high authority knowing the truth I had to tell them the truth."
