I will undergo medicals at AZ Alkmaar on Monday - Ibrahim Sadiq

Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Sadiq has revealed that he is scheduled for a compulsory medical evaluation on Monday at AZ Alkmaar, the Dutch Eredivisie club.

Securing the transfer for a sum of just over $4 million, AFAS Stadion's team is poised to welcome the 23-year-old, a former Right to Dream academy graduate, pending a favorable evaluation from their medical staff.

Confirming the exact date of his medical assessment with the top-tier Dutch club, the former FC Nordsjaelland standout expressed, as quoted by Football Channel.

"It's true, they want to sign me. I have a medical examination tomorrow Monday. I have received permission to go and will be back on Tuesday to then travel with the team on Wednesday."

On Thursday, BK Hacken will play Scottish Premiership team Aberdeen F.C in the second leg of the Europa League playoffs. According to Sadiq, that match will mark his final appearance for the Swedish Allsvenskan team.

"It will be my last match," he stated.

Both Lech Poznan and BSC Young Boys of the Swiss Super League were interested in signing him during the current transfer window.

The forward has made 42 appearances in the top-tier of Swedish football since moving to BK Hacken from FC Nordsjaelland in 2022. In that time, he has scored 25 goals and contributed 8 assists.
