Ghanaian international Rashid Sumaila has been shortlisted for the Player of the Season award at Al-Qadsiya following his outstanding display for the side in the 2019/2020 campaign.
The highly-rated defender proved to be a dependable man at the back for his club in the Kuwaiti top-flight league before the season was suspended a couple of months ago because of the Coronavirus disease.
Assessing the performance of players at Al-Qadsia, Rashid Sumaila has been rated high and is one of three players nominated for the Player of the Season award.
The Ghanaian who has already won the award two times at the club will battle the likes of Ahmed Al-Daferi and Bader Al-Motawaa for the top honour.
The former Asante Kotoko center-back has featured in over 20 games for his club this season in all competitions and always ended up receiving applause for his performance.
He remains a key asset for the club and is said to be in talks for a contract extension before the season ends.
