Liverpool midfielder Ryan Kent has been named Barnsley's Player of the Year.

The 20-year-old winger has made 45 appearances for Paul Heckingbottom's side, scoring three goals as the Tykes secured a comfortable mid-table finish. Kent played the full 90 minutes as Barnsley drew 1-1 at home to Burton Albion on Saturday.

The 20-year-old has played 43 league games for the Championship club this season, contributing three goals as they have secured a mid-table position.

Kent made his senior debut for the Reds – to date his only appearance for the first team – under Jürgen Klopp in the FA Cup tie with Exeter City in January 2016.
