Man Utd boss Mourinho urges Woodward to make \'superstar\' signing

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants vice-chairman exec Ed Woodward to make a big name signing this summer.

The Manchester Evening News says United's interest in Antoine Griezmann highlighted their ambitions to sign a 'superstar' forward and it's no surprise Mourinho isn't considering Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, United would be open to signing Gareth Bale.

Diario Gol, meanwhile, says Neymar Jr. is spoken strongly in United's offices. Mourinho's logic dictates that the Brazilian is younger, with more potential and even more media coverage than Ronaldo.

Away from the shadow of Messi, he could play at the level that many times he has shown for Brazil. If they want to sign him,United would have to offer €200m. An affordable amount for the club that paid a world record fee for Paul Pogba.
