Napoli v Bologna: Official Line-Ups

Published on: 29 December 2018

Napoli look to bounce back from their controversial Boxing Day defeat to Inter when they welcome Bologna to the Stadio San Paolo.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti rings the changes, particularly as the Partenopei are without centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly and forward Lorenzo Insigne, who were both dismissed in the fiery encounter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Sebastiano Luperto comes in at centre-back, whilst Dries Mertens joins Arkadiusz Milik up front. Meanwhile, Jose Callejon reverts to his favoured wing position to allow Elseid Hysaj in at right-back, whilst Faouzi Ghoulam replaces Mario Rui on the other flank.

Captain Marek Hamsik sits the game out through injury and is replaced by Piotr Zielinski, with Marko Rog afforded a rare start in place of the rested Allan.

Bologna currently sit in the relegation zone and have not won since September, but would relish the opportunity to land Napoli’s scalp. Mattia Destro and Rodrigo Palacio provide the firepower, whilst Erick Pulgar returns to midfield.

Former Partenopei man Blerim Dzemaili is not deemed fit enough to start after his recent injury troubles, but Andrea Poli continues in the centre.

Napoli: Meret; Malcuit, Albiol, Maksimovic, Ghoulam; Callejon, Allan, Zielinski, Verdi; Mertens, Milik.

Bologna: Skorupski; Danilo, De Maio, Helander, Dijks, Pulgar, Svanberg, Poli, Mattiello, Santander, Palacio
