They may be languishing in sixth place in the Premier League, but Manchester United are sitting pretty at the top of the pile in terms of shirt sales this season.

11-time Champions League winners and current Spanish leagueleaders Real Madrid slot into second place in the table - with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale helping Los Blancos keep up their global brand.

Just like in La Liga this season, Barcelona have found themselves behind great rivals Real, withthe Catalan giants failing to cash in on the fact that Lionel Messi'sshirt is the most popular around the world - with teammate Neymar fifth on the individual list.

Runaway Premier League leaders Chelsea's lack of Champions League football doesn't appear to have hurt their marketability, just missing out on the metaphorical podium in fourth place - ahead of top German club Bayern Munich, whose1.5m shirt sales place them fifth on the list.

Arsenal and Liverpool continue to prove that the Premier League perhaps the most popular in the world, if not the 'best', sandwiching dominant Italian giants Juventus in sixth and eighth places respectively.

Paris Saint-Germain sneak in as Ligue 1's sole representatives in the top 10, ahead of fallen Italian giants AC Milan.
