Premier League Fantasy Football: Who's Hot and Who's Not in Gameweek 25

Published on: 09 February 2017

There are plenty of fixtures to get excited about this weekend.

Liverpool host Tottenham in a must-win clash for both sides while Chelsea travel to Burnley as they continue their Premier League title bid and Arsenal host Hull.

There are plenty of viable options for your fantasy team, but who should you draft in?

Goalkeepers

Who's Hot

David de Gea - Two clean sheets on the trot for De Gea, whose Manchester United side entertain Watford on Saturday.

Vito Mannone - The Italian also has two shutouts on the spin, and will hope to keep that run going when the Black Cats host Southampton.

Who's Not

Tom Heaton - While Burnley are a formidable proposition at home, the Clarets have picked up just one point in 11 away games this season. Don't expect Heaton to go through this game without being beaten at least once by the runaway title favourites.

Artur Boruc - The Pole conceded six goals away at Everton last week and his job won't get any easier when the Cherries host Manchester City on Monday.

Defenders

Who's Hot

Marcos Alonso - The Spaniard has an eye for goal, always a good thing for a defender, and his Chelsea side have kept the most clean sheets in the league so far this season.

Andrea Ranocchia - A trip to Arsenal appears extremely tricky for Hull, but the Tigers have kept both Manchester United and Liverpool at bay in recent weeks, with Ranocchia playing a vital role in their most recent win.

Who's Not

Laurent Koscielny - Arsenal don't keep as many clean sheets as they should, so don't trust Koscielny or his teammatesto keep out Hull on Saturday.

Jose Holebas - United looked deadly going forward against Leicester last week and Holebas may not be able to keep out the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba.

Midfielders

Who's Hot

Henrikh Mkhitaryan - The Armenian bagged a goal and an assist in United's win over Leicester and will fancy his chances of getting another effort on target against Watford.

Gylfi Sigurdsson - Swansea were desperately unlucky not to leave Manchester City with a point last week but Sigurdsson scored and will be on the hunt for more goals when Paul Clement's side host Leicester on Sunday.

Who's Not

N'Golo Kante - While undoubtedly a fantastic player, Kante rarely scores or assists from midfield, despite being one of the most selected players in fantasy football.

Junior Stanislas - The 27-year-old sat out during the 6-3 defeat at Everton and may not be a banker to perform well against Manchester City on Monday.

Forwards

Who's Hot

Romelu Lukaku - The Belgian's four goal haul against Bournemouth took his Premier League tally to a league-high16 strikes this season, leading the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Diego Costa.

Jermain Defoe - The former England forward struck twice before half-time against Crystal Palace and should be able to find the back of the net against Southampton.

Who's Not

Sergio Aguero - Usually a must-have on fantasy football, Aguero has been usurped by Gabriel Jesus in recent weeks and may find himself left on the bench again for City's trip to Bournemouth on Monday.

Jamie Vardy - Lethal last season, Vardy has just five league goals this season and hasn't scored in the competition since December.
