Ghanaian international Mohammed Rabiu is parting ways with French Ligue 2 side Paris FC after exhausting his contract with the club.

The former Black Stars midfielder joined the French lower division side in the summer transfer window of 2019 on a free transfer after parting ways with Russian Premier League outfit Krylya Sovetov.

This season he managed to make 14 appearances and scored 1 goal for Paris FC before the Coronavirus (Covid-19) forced the suspension of the season, leading to its abrupt end subsequently.

Preparing for next season, the club has decided to let go of some players and have decided not to extend Rabiu Mohammed’s stay at the club.

“On loan for several months, Christopher Dilo (SO Cholet), Bryan Alceus (FC Bastia-Borgo), Jérémy Mangonzo (FC Fleury 91) and Keelan Lebon (US Créteil Lusitanos) are leaving Paris FC.

“Arrived last summer, Sami Matoug, Marco Essimi, Mohammed Rabiu, Thomas Garcia, Felipe Saad are not continuing the adventure at Paris FC”, a club statement said.

Rabiu, 30, believes he still has a few years to play football and is understood to be in talks with some clubs over a possible move in the next transfer window.
