Swansea's Paul Clement Named Premier League Manager of the Month for January

Swansea City boss Paul Clement has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for January after the relegation threatened club won three of their four games during the period to move out of the bottom three.


Formerly assistant to Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich,Clement was appointed by Swansea on 3rd January following Bob Bradley's dismissaland watched his new team quickly beat fellow strugglers Crystal Palace.

A disappointing loss at the hands of Arsenal came next, but the Swans were much more resilient against Liverpool at Anfield in the middle of the month and claimed a confidence boosting 3-2 victory, going ahead to win the game despite giving up a two-goal lead.


The Welsh club then finished January with a 2-1 home win against Southampton.

"It was a nice surprise. Also because of the other managers who had very good results and teams this month. I was absolutely confident in my ability to do this job, and I haven't done the job. There's a long way to go," Clement toldPremierLeague.com.
