In today’s throwback Thursday, we put the spotlight on Black Stars of Ghana head coach Charles Kwablah Akonnor.
Out of his many glorious moments as a professional footballer, we take his cheeky goal for Wolfsburg against Schalke 04.
The ex-Black Stars captain was in actions for his side and scored with a delightfully dinked effort on December 2, 2000, in what was a game in the German Bundesliga.
CK Akonnor’s goal helped Wolfsburg to go on to emerge as 2-0 winner at the end of the 90 minutes as they sent Schalke back home empty-handed.
The Ghanaian enjoyed a good stint with the club and managed to score 13 goals after making 121 appearances.
