Unveiling of Chris Hughton delayed due to the death of his father - Henry Asante Twum

Published on: 10 March 2023

Ghana Football Association spokesman Henry Asante Twum says Chris Hughton's unveiling was delayed because of the death of Hughton's father.

The new head of the Black Stars will however be unveiled in Kumasi on Monday, March 20, 2023, as part of the build-up to the match against Angola.

The former Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur manager will be presented to the media to share his vision, ideology, and expectations with the public in Kumasi.

"The time he had to come to Ghana he couldn't come because his father died but he is someone...he informed the FA that he doesn't want to broadcast it," Twum said on Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"So we had to keep mute about it because his father was someone who lived peacefully so if his father has died he wants him to leave peacefully. That is why we didn't make noise about it that is the reason why his unveiling has delayed a little bit,"
