World Cup 2022: Qatar names all-time top scorer Almoez Ali in final 26-man squad for tournament

Qatar has named a strong exciting squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup as the country prepares to host the rest of the world.

The hosts named in the 26-man squad officially announced has included all-time top-scorer Almoez Ali.

The forward was a star for Qatar at the 2019 Asian Cup where he scored nine goals to emerge as the Golden Boot winner.

Ahead of the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the striker has now been named in the final squad and will be hoping to excel to help his country enjoy success at the tournament.

Ali, 26, has 42 goals in 85 appearances for the Qatar national title.

His important goals at the 2019 Asian Cup led Qatar to its first major international triumph.

He is expected to be a key man for Qatar head coach Felix Sanchez.
