2024/25 Ghana Premier League: Hearts of Oak to kick off season against Basake Holy Stars

Published on: 29 July 2024

Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak will open their 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign against newly promoted side Basake Holy Stars.

The fixtures will be played at the Accra Sports Stadium between Friday, September 6 and Sunday, September 9, 2024.

The Phobians will be looking to compete for the title after narrowly avoiding relegation in the 2023/24 season.

Hearts of Oak will face rivals Asante Kotoko in the first round of the Super Clash at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, scheduled between December 13 and 16, 2024.

The return fixture is slated for the Accra Sports Stadium, with dates ranging from May 2 to 5, 2025.

Last season, Hearts of Oak have to beat Bechem United 3-2 at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in a dramatic clash to avoid relegation.

The Phobians finished 14th on the table with 45 points from 34 games, escaping relegation by just one point.

The club has parted ways with many players and are now signing players they think can help them challenge for the title.
