Agent Reveals AC Milan's Mario Pasalic Would Love to Extend Stay Away From Chelsea

AC Milan midfielder Mario Pasalic would love to extend his stay at the club, according to his agent.

Pasalic joined the Serie A side on loan at the beginning of the season, with Chelsea currently well stocked with midfielders. The likes of N'Golo Kante, Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas meant Pasalic's opportunities would be limited at Stamford Bridge this season.

The 21-year-old, who has previously spent time on loan at Elche and Monaco, has made seven league appearances so far this season, scoring once, and also scored the decisive penalty during Milan'sSupercoppa Italiana win over Juventus earlier in December.

There has been speculation that Pasalic could be recalled by parent club Chelsea, but his agent has claimed the midfielder is enjoying his stay at Milan.

"He's very proud to have scored the decisive penalty and wear the AC Milan shirt,"Marko Naletilic told La Gazzetta dello Sport as quoted byFour Four Two.

"Montella has shown great faith in him and has given him confidence after his long injury. This is something Mario appreciates a lot. He still has room for improvement - he's at 70 per cent now.

"His future will depend on several factors: on Chelsea, Milan, and him, of course.

"His wish counts and I can say that Mario already has AC Milan in his heart."

Milan CEOAdriano Galliani has previously stated Milan will have the chance to sign Pasalic in the summer.

"Pasalic is a player who did well at youth level but his progress was stalled by injuries. He can come back to being what he was," he said.

"In Croatia, Pasalic is considered to be on the same level as Luka Modric, who is one of the best midfielders in the world. We had this opportunity, we do have the option to buy and we'll see what to do next summer."
