Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla is set to miss out on his team's Champions Leaguemeeting with French side Paris-Saint Germain on Wednesday.

31-year-old Cazorla has not featured for Arsene Wenger's side since mid-October and the Evening Standardare reporting the two-footed playmaker is still not ready to return to action.

Currently seeing a specialist in Barcelona for his achilles injury, picked up in match-day three of the Champions League, Cazorla is also set to be absent for Arsenal's game against Bournemouth at the weekend.

We're always outplayed with Cazorla not on the pitch. Mad how much of a different team we are without him.

Arsene Wenger is keen to have his experienced midfielder back and involved within the match-day squad, with the Frenchman admitting that he was hoping to have Cazorla back just after the international break.

The Spanish internationalhas provided two goals and three assists in his eight appearances this season and is adored by his Arsenal fans.

With a winagainst PSG on Wednesday guaranteeing Arsenal finishing top oftheir Champions League group, the stage is all set for summer signing Granit Xhaka, who is expectedto fill the void left by Cazorla.

24-year-old Xhaka is yet to live up to his £30m price tag and is being recognised for his ability to pick up yellow cards rather than his eye for a pass that got him noticed at former side Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Swiss midfielder has, however, also shown signs of the talent his left foot possesses. Two thunderous strikes against Hull and Nottingham Forest have given Arsenal fans hope that the player won't prove to be a completeflop.

If Arsenal do finish top of their group, it will be the first time since 2011. With Wenger's men also providing a huge push for top spot in the Premier League, a win on Wednesday could set Arsenal up for a very exciting second half of the season.
