The defending champions of the Ghana Premier League, Asante Kotoko, displayed their dominance as they thrashed lower-tier side Sporting Time 4-1 in a test game played at Adako Jachie Park on Thursday.

The friendly match was organized to help Coach Abdul Gazale's team prepare for their upcoming 2022/23 Ghana Premier League match week 32 fixture against Karela United FC on Monday, May 29, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Asante Kotoko started the game strong and showcased their offensive prowess with goals from their captain, Richard Boadu, as well as Enoch Morrison, Clinton Opoku, and Sarfo Taylor. Their collective efforts secured a resounding victory for the Porcupine Warriors.

Sporting Time, the visiting team, managed to pull one goal back through a penalty in the dying stages of the game, but it was not enough to challenge the dominant performance of Asante Kotoko.

With a conving 3-1 win over Kotoku Royals on Monday, Asante returned to fourth place on the league standings, accumulating 47 points from 31 games.

These two wins will give them confidence heading into the match against Karela United.
