Alex Akummey, who is the representative of Ghana international, Ebenezer Ofori, has confirmed that the player has agreed to join MLS side, New York City FC, on a one year loan from the German side, VfB Stuttgart, with an option to buy.
The deal was agreed on Friday with a contract set to be signed pending a medical.
“Yes, he has agreed to join NYC FC for one year with an option to buy. He's currently in Germany working on his US visa and will fly out for the medical as soon as it's granted,” Akummey told Citi Sports.
Ofori has only played 9 minutes of football this season for Stuttgart, after playing a key role in their promotion to the top flight last season.
The 22-year-old made his debut for the Black Stars at the 2017 AFCON in the 3rd place playoff against Burkina Faso.
