Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku says the finalists for the 2024 MTN FA Cup have promised an exciting game this weekend.

The MTN FA Cup final will take place at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday, June 23. Bono rivals Nsoatreman FC and Bofoakwa Tano will compete for the title.

Okraku made these remarks during a trophy presentation at the University of Ghana.

UG Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic and Students Affairs) Professor Gordon Awandare, Acting UG Director of Sports Bella Bello Bitugu, and other high-ranking university officials attended the event.

In his address, Okraku praised the UG Stadium's facilities. He also noted that the Bono rivals have committed to delivering a top performance in the final.

"There will be several spices to the cake on Sunday. The arrival of the trophy will have a wow factor…the two combatants have promised us good football," he said.

The teams previously played two drawn games in the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League. However, Bofoakwa Tano ended the season relegated to Division One, while Nsoatreman FC finished in fifth place. This adds an extra layer of intrigue to the upcoming match.
