Ghana defender Baba Rahman seals move to re-join Reading FC from Chelsea

Published on: 30 August 2022

Ghana international, Abdul Baba Rahman has completed a move that sees him re-joining Reading FC in England.

The full-back last season spent the campaign at Reading and played a key role for the team throughout the 2021/22 English Championship season.

At the end of the season, he returned to his parent club, Chelsea in hopes of finally securing a place in the first team.

Having failed to impress the technical team of the Blues, the two-time Uefa Champions League side decided to permanently transfer Baba Rahman.

However, with no club expressing interest to sign the player on a permanent deal, he has been transferred to Reading FC for a season-long loan.

The English Championship club was impressed with the performance of the Black Stars regular last season and believes he will be of great help to the team this season as well.

Sources note that an official announcement from Reading FC to confirm signing Baba Rahman from Chelsea will be made in the next 12 hours.
