The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the organization of the fourth edition of the Division One Super Cup competition.
The tournament, scheduled to take place from July 29th to August 13th, will be held at the Nsoatreman's facility in Sunyani.
Eight Division One League clubs have qualified for the competition: Vision FC, Okwahu United, Young Apostles FC, Techiman Heroes FC, Basake Holy Stars, New Edubiase, Techiman Liberty, and Hohoe United. These teams will meet at the Nsoatre Park to commence the tournament.
Maxwell Ceasar Kimeh, Competitions Manager for the Division One Super Cup, shared more details with Peace FM, as monitored by Footballghana.com.
"We have organized one before this is the fourth edition and it will be held in Sunyani we will use Nsoatreman's facility for the competition. The clubs who have qualified Vision FC, Okwahu United, Young Apostles FC, Techiman Heroes FC, Basake Holy Stars, New Edubiase, Techiman Liberty, and Hohoe United so from 29th July to 13th August they will all meet at the Nsoatre Park to start the competition," he said.
"There is cash involved before they come too we will give them appearance fee to prepare themselves before they come. GFA is now looking at the prize money for the winner. All the clubs have confirmed they will participate. The winner will get a trophy, medals, and money given to the club.
"The committee set aside is trying to get the RFAs in Sunyani in a meeting to raise the patronage since we know people in Sunyani like football we are trying our best to increase the patronage over there,"
