Ghana international Jordan Ayew has arrived in the USA with Crystal Palace for preseason training tour.

Despite attracting interest from Leicester City, the Black Stars forward was named in the squad for the trip to the United States.

The Foxes, who made a quick return to the Premier League are said to have targeted Ayew as a possible replacement for Republic of Ireland striker, Thomas Christopher Cannon, who has emerged as a top transfer target for several clubs.

Cannon, 21, is on the radar of three clubs, who are keen to sign the forward on a loan deal this summer.

Sheffield United, West Brom and Stoke City, who are in the English Championship are said to be interested in the Irish forward.

Leicester City will sanction a move for the Irish if interested clubs are able to cover chunk of his wages.

Ayew has been an integral member of Crystal Palace team since joining the club in 2018. The Ghana international initially joined on loan but his move was made permanent only a year later.

Last season, he racked up four goals and provided eight assists in 37 appearances for Palace.

Since joining the club, the Ghanaian attacker has amassed a total of 23 goals and 22 assists in 211 appearances.

Meanwhile, Ayew has reported attracted interest from Saudi Pro League clubs.
