Ghanaian forward Ernest Asante scores for Doxa Katokopia against Anorthosis

Ghanaian forward Ernest Asante was on target for Doxa Katokopia in their victory over Anorthosis in the Cypriot top-flight.

The 34-year-old was impressive for Doxa Katokopia in the much-anticipated encounter.

Asante scored the second goal to help his side extend their lead over Anorthosis.

Serbian international Nikola Trujic opened the scoring for Doxa Katokopia in the 19th minute mark assisted by Marios Antoniadis.

Anorthosis got a chance to get back into the game from the penalty spot in the 90th minute. Sekou Gassama stepped up and the goalkeeper saved his kick.

Ghanaian international Ernest Asante scored in added time to seal the victory for his team. Bulgarian midfielder Dimitar Velkoski assisted Asante's goal.

Having started his career in Ghana with Feyenoord, Asante went on to play for a host of clubs abroad including KSK Beveren, Maxbee's FC, IK Start, Stabæk Fotball, Nordsjaelland, Al-Jazira, Al-Hazem, Fujairah SC and Omonia Nicosia.
