Goalkeeper Frederick Asare confident of Asante Kotoko’s success next season

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare has expressed optimism about the club’s success in the upcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors endured a torrid campaign last-term, finishing 4th on the Ghana Premier League table. They also missed out in the FA Cup competition, where Dreams FC emerged as winners.

Asare, who joined the Ghanaian giants before the start of last season in an interview emphasized his outfit will emerge as winners in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

He also promised more clean sheet from the goalkeeping department as they seek to make a huge impact in the forthcoming season.

“With the one week that we’ve had, I think that if this work continues for a very long time, I think we will win the league,” Asare told the club in an interview.

“If we will win the league it will mostly depend on the supporters. Because last year there was a little bit of low attendance because of our performances.

“But this year I can assure them that with this new direction, we are going to win the league so they should come in their numbers. And also, I am promising them with the goalkeeping department we are promising them so many clean sheets this year,” he concluded.
