I thank the GFA for thinking about me - Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Sampson Appiah

Sampson Appiah, a former goalkeeper for Asante Kotoko, has expressed his thanks following a visit from the GFA Foundation.

The foundation also made a donation of 10,000 Ghana cedis to the former Porcupine Warriors goalkeeper's trainer who got injured in Kotoko's team bus accident a few years ago.

Appiah said it’s been a year and 4 months since he had his spine surgery and has since resumed his physiotherapy session at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

"Yes it is true on Saturday one guy called from GFA I think he is part of the foundation and he said he wants me to come to Abrankese. I told him that my brother in my current situation I can't come," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"He planned to meet at the Kumasi Sports Stadium but the time wasn't appropriate so on Sunday I met them around one o'clock. Kurt Okraku came, Opoku Nti, George Kennedy, and a former GFA rep for Kumasi also came,"

"They all came to support me and I am so happy I did not think it will happen. I thank the GFA, the President and everyone who thought about me and supported me,"
