Karela Utd players undergo Covid-19 testing ahead of 20/21 season

Published on: 28 September 2020

The playing body of Karela United has today undergone testing for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) disease as the team prepares to return to training ahead of the upcoming football season.

The club just like all the other Premier League teams has been inactive since March this year when the 2019/2020 season was suspended and subsequently canceled as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Finally following the lifting of the restrictions by the government, clubs in the Premier League and the Division One League can now commence training.

Today, Karela United is complying with the requirement before training and has seen its players undergoing testing for the Coronavirus disease.

After receiving the test results for all players tomorrow, the Anyinase-based club will regroup on Wednesday to commence extensive training for the 2020/2021 season.

The new season will start on the weekend of November 13 to 15.
