Lucas Moura at Tottenham training ground to finalise £25m deal - sources

ESPN FC's Gab Marcotti provides an update on Tottenham and Chelsea's pursuit of reinforcements before the January window closes.

Lucas Moura was at Tottenham Hotspur's Enfield training ground, Hotspur Way, on Tuesday to finalise details of a £25 million move from Paris Saint-Germain, a source close to the London club has told ESPN FC.

The Brazilian arrived from Paris on the Eurostar on Tuesday morning ahead of a medical after Spurs agreed a fee with the French club.

Moura will also finalise personal terms on an expected three-and-a-half year deal, with the option of a further year, after being told to find a new club by PSG.

Spurs have still to secure a work permit for the Brazil international, who has 35 caps, but sources said they do not expect any issues with the paperwork.

Moura, who won a silver medal at the London Olympics in 2012, has already met with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and manager Mauricio Pochettino after touring Hotspur Way last week.

Moura joined PSG for £33.5m from Sao Paulo in 2013 but has made just six substitute appearances this season following the summer signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. The 25-year-old has scored 46 goals and added 50 assists in 229 appearances for PSG, winning 13 domestic trophies in France, including four Ligue 1 titles.

Moura will not cup-tied for the Champions League ahead of Spurs' round-of-16 tie against Juventus next month, having not featured in the competition for PSG this season.

But Spurs will have to remove a foreign player from the squad because they already have 17, the maximum, registered.
