Nepal Super League outfit FC Chitwan have successfully secure the signing of former Asante Kotoko SC defender Yussif Mubarik.
The 27-year-old joins Chitwan as a free agent after ending his spell with the Porcupine Warriors following the expiration of his contract.
Mubarik parted ways with Kotoko on August 1, 2023 after three-year spell at the club. The defender is expected to play a huge role for Chitwan as they seek to make impact in the campaign.
The experienced defender joined Kotoko in September 2020 after leaving Ashantigold. He established himself as a key member of the Porcupine Warriors squad, helping the club to annex the Ghana Premier League during the 2020/21 season.
Mubarik made 21 appearances when the Ghanaian giants clinched the Ghana Premier League title. Last season, he made 18 appearances in the GPL and CAF Champions League preliminary round
The defender made 62 appearances for Kotoko in the Ghanaian top-flight across three seasons, where he scored once.
