Eric Bailly, a Manchester United defender, has virtually verified the news that the club will have a new manager.

Bailly effectively confirmed the rumours that Ralf Ragnick would be named interim manager in a post-match interview after United's 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

"We were briefed in the dressing room about the arrival of the new manager," the Ivory Coast international told RMCsport.

It comes after rumours surfaced late last week that Ralf Rangnick had agreed to become United's temporary manager with the intention of transitioning to a consultant job after the interim phase was through.

Rangnick is widely regarded as one of modern football's great thinkers, with Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool and Thomas Tuchel of Chelsea both being disciples of Rangnick's ideas, with Klopp in particular employing them to great advantage with his famed gegenpressing at Liverpool.
