Accra Lions emerging midfielder, Mohammed Shawkan, exudes confidence in his team's ability to bounce back despite a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

Lions endured a hard-fought loss to the Porcupine Warriors in a Monday evening match week four clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ivorian new acquisition Kalo Ouattara scored the only goal of the game in the 98th minute from a set piece to nick the win over Ibrahim Tanko’s side.

However, Shawkan, recognized as the match's Most Valuable Player (MVP), remains resolutely optimistic about his team's resurgence in the upcoming fixtures.

"We have been putting in a lot of effort during our training sessions, and we firmly believe that the results will soon reflect our hard work," he affirmed in a post-match interview with StarTimes.

Prior to the match, Accra Lions were unbeaten in their last three matches in the Ghana Premier League.

Currently positioned 10th with five points, Accra Lions are now gearing up for their next challenge against Great Olympics.
