The Super Eagles of Nigeria have begun their training camp in Marrakech, Morocco, in anticipation of their upcoming international friendlies against the Black Stars of Ghana and the Eagles of Mali.

22 players have assembled in the camp, with preparations for the friendlies officially kicking off on Tuesday.

Several key players, including Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Frank Onyeka, Francis Uzoho, Chidozie Awaziem, and Bright Osayi-Samuel, are expected to join their teammates in Marrakech today.

Napoli star striker Victor Osimhen will miss the friendly due to injury.

In the absence of a permanent coach, the team will be led on an interim basis by Findi George. This follows the resignation of Portuguese manager Jose Peseiro, who had been guiding the Super Eagles until their recent run to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana also commenced training in Morocco ahead of the thrilling clash which will kick off on Friday.
