There is are no plans to sack Nana Yaw Amponsah - Kotoko board member, Joseph Yaw Adu

Asante Kotoko board member, Joseph Yaw Adu has revealed there is no agenda to sack the Chief Executive Officer of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah.

The young football administrator has come under pressure following the inconsistent performance of the side.

Kotoko were crashed out of the Champions League preliminary round.

In the ongoing 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season, Kotoko sit 5th on the league log with 38 points.

With Nana Yaw Amponsah's three-year term ending this year, reports have emerged that his stay will not be extended.

However, Joseph Yaw Adu speaking in an interview reiterated that there is no plan to fire the CEO.

"There was no agenda of sacking the CEO [Nana Yaw Amponsah]. It is mere speculation," he told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will face their city rivals, King Faisal in an outstanding game on Wednesday at the Baba Yara Stadium on Wednesday.

Nana Yaw Amponsah, who is a 2019 Ghana Football Association [GFA] presidential aspirant was appointed as the CEO of the club on August 2020.
