Trabzonspor to make an official bid for Daniel Amartey in January

Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor will try and sign Ghanaian international Daniel Amartey from Leicester City, footballghana.com can officially report.

The hardworking midfielder who can play in numerous positions in defense has attracted interest from the Turkish top-flight side who recently lost Ogenyi Onazi.

According to sources, the club has been monitoring the fit-again Black Stars midfielder and is convinced he is a player that can give them the needed squad boost if they are to enjoy success at the end of the 2019/2020 season.

Turkish newspaper Star has reported that Trabzonspor is ready to table an official bid to the Foxes to sign the Ghanaian when the January transfer window is opened.

The versatile midfielder is also reportedly on the radar of Newcastle United as Steve Bruce also looks for options to ensure his side retains their top-flight status at the end of the ongoing campaign.

Meanwhile, Amartey who has recovered from a long term injury is yet to be given playing time by new Leicester City manager Brendan Rogers.
