In a bid to secure their position in the league, King Faisal's assistant coach, Godwin Ablordey, expressed optimism as he looked towards the protest against Tamale City as their chance to gain crucial points.

With their league survival hanging in the balance, Godwin Ablordey emphasized the significance of the protest.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) dismissed King Faisal FC's protest against Tamale City FC in week 30 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Issah Allah club’s protest centres around a Tamale City player with a double identity (Isaac Mensah/Jireh Kojo Nissi).

King Faisal has appealed the verdict by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

"We lost in the FA Cup final today but we are hoping we get our maximum points from the protest so that we stay in the league," Godwin Ablordey told Peace FM.

"This is what we are waiting for now,"
